My Story

Ellen McLaurin, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, CRRN is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, currently manages urgent, chronic and acute medical issues, catering to patients of all ages and stages of life at Wade Family Medical Center - Downtown.
Mrs. McLaurin attended East Carolina University's undergraduate program, graduating in 1994. Later, she attended Duke University Graduate program, receiving her Master's degree in nursing along with her Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate in 2001. In addition, she is certified in Rehabilitation Nursing, specializing in the treatment of individuals with numerous neurological deficits.
She has an excess of 35 years of experience in the medical field and loves her profession because it affords her the opportunity to truly merge the fields of nursing and medicine in one complete venue, while delivering compassionate, holistic, medical care. This fact is truly felt with sentiments echoed in appreciation by her patients.
Mrs. McLaurin has three children and one adorable grandchild, all of whom she is very proud. She is thankful to have the opportunity to serve in healthcare, assisting people from all walks of life!
